Romanian Deputy Prime Minister Ana Birchall has visited Azerbaijan between 14 and 16 March 2019 to attend the 7th Global Baku Forum. The high Romanian official has taken part as a keynote speaker to the panel on Western Balkans and delivered a special message of the Prime-Minister of Romania during the Closing Ceremony of the Forum.
DPM Ana Birchall has met in Baku President Ilham Aliyev and Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Population Sahil Babayev. DPM Birchall has referred in her talks to the significance of the current year which marks the 10th anniversary of the Strategic Partnership between Romania and Azerbaijan (2009). The Romanian official has highlighted the importance of intensified efforts for the development of the bilateral economic cooperation based on joint concrete projects.
