Ambassador of Romania participated to an event dedicated to the 64th anniversary of NATO

Azerbaijan-NATO Cooperation Institute organized on May 8, 2013, an event dedicated to the 64th anniversary of North Atlantic Alliance, which gathered together Ambassadors of NATO member states accredited in Baku, diplomats, politicians and journalists.

Farrukh Mammadov, President of Azerbaijan-NATO Cooperation Institute, handed over to some of the participants, among which Ambassador of Romania to Baku, H.E. Mr. Daniel Cristian Ciobanu, diplomas for the contribution paid to development of relations between Azerbaijan and North-Atlantic Alliance.

In his speech, Daniel Cristian Ciobanu noted that Embassy of Romania is currently implementing its third mandate as NATO Contact Point Embassy in the Republic of Azerbaijan. He praised the cooperation between Azerbaijan and North Atlantic Alliance, mentioning successfull implementation of a number of projects developed in Azerbaijan with NATO support, such as Melange, Saloglu, Jeyranchel. The Ambassador also highlighted existing potential for further extension of cooperation of Azerbaijan and North Atlantic Alliance.
